About Tsawwassen

Tsawwassen is recognized for its beautiful parks, recreation facilities, beaches on two shores, access to Boundary Bay dyke, and walking trails. We are known as the land of the sun, getting three days of sunshine to every one in Vancouver. The backdrop is equally spectacular with farm fields, mountains, the Pacific Ocean and Mount Baker all within view.

The community of Tsawwassen consists of approximately 22,000 people, or 9,800 homes. The BIA of Tsawwassen represents all commercial businesses located on 56th Street and 12th Avenue, the two main commercial corridors in the community. Both the Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal, located to the west of the community, and the city of Point Roberts, Washington, located at the southern tip of the peninsula, help expand the market potential through increased traffic generated by these destinations.

Business in Tsawwassen continues to develop as the shopping district expands to keep up with the demands of its consumers. A brand new 48,000 square foot Safeway and a new 25,000 square foot Thrifty Foods have encouraged more local shopping. Supporting these new additions are a wide assortment of specialty meat and seafood shops, deli’s, coffee houses, bakeries and an abundance of restaurants. Retail is equally appealing with everything from children and adult consignment stores to high-end fashion stores. Although not considered a complete community, Tsawwassen offers a vast assortment of retail, service and professional businesses to visitors and consumers of the community.
